The Weight of Snowflakes, haiku of Mel Goldberg
Mel Goldberg is not a household name in the haiku community, but those aware of events outside that community know his work in other genres: several books of poetry, a couple novels and two collections of short stories. This is his third book of haiku, and his first with Red Moon Press.
“I first discovered the haiku form in City Lights Bookstore back in the mid-sixties, and I immediately resonated with the ‘haiku spirit.’ It was a real joy for me to discover, over ten years ago, that genuine haiku spirit in the works of Mel Goldberg. His books are treasures to me.”
