Description

William J. Higginson (1938-2008) was certainly one of the best-known names in the haiku world, in the west as well as in Japan. His The Haiku Handbook remains one of the seminal texts in English-language haiku, and his other books, The Haiku Seasons and Haiku World, also received much acclaim. He served many times as President of the Haiku Society of America and participated in many other worthy haiku causes. It is as a poet, however, that we celebrate him in this postscripts volume, as we see that side of him could be equally instructive and moving.
